We received a quick email from Elder Cahoon on Monday letting us know that he would be leaving the MTC the next morning at 3:30 a.m. (he wasn't too thrilled about the time) to fly to his mission in New York. He also shared that all of the missionaries were able to watch the temple dedication for the Provo City Center Temple and that it was such a spiritual experience with all of the missionaries. He was surprised how quickly the three weeks in the MTC went by but said he was excited to meet the people in New York.
We received a short email this morning letting us know that Elder Cahoon had arrived safely in New York, and it included the two pictures above of him with President and Sister Rogers (the mission president and his wife) and a picture of his first companion. We weren't given his companion's name or where he's serving, so we are anxiously awaiting his first email that should arrive on his preparation day (P day) on Monday.
