Hey everyone! This is going to be a short email because we are running behind time. This past week went really well. We are continuing to find investigators. This week we set a goal to find 6 new investigators and we got 7 which is pretty good for here in Lake Placid!
I want to share a scripture with you all. It's Alma 7:11-13 in the Book of Mormon.
11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.
12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities. 13 Now the Spirit knoweth all things; nevertheless the Son of God suffereth according to the flesh that he might take upon him the sins of his people, that he might blot out their transgressions according to the power of his deliverance; and now behold, this is the testimony which is in me.
Jesus Christ truly is our Lord and Savior. Every single thing you go through on a daily basis he has been right there with you. He has suffered for each of us willingly and lovingly. All he asks is for us to believe and follow his example. He loves each of you. His hand is extended out to you through your toughest times. I love the Savior. I know he lives. I love you all so much and I hope you all think of this scripture the next time you go through a trial. Following the Savior brings so much more peace and joy in life.
Have a great week everybody! Till next Monday.
