Another Husky that was so happy.
Hey everybody! So this week was a little bit slower than other weeks. We had to drop a few investigators because they were just not progressing. We did get another investigator to accept baptism, so she is going to be baptized on May 25! Her name is Alicia and she said that she has met with Jehovah Witnesses before and it didn't feel true when they taught her, but she said when we taught her it made more sense and "felt good and true".
We tracted into an elder couple named Dick and Brenda and we taught the restoration and they loved it. Dick is an Episcopalian and has been "sitting in the same pew since he was 3 years old" he is 59 now. When we brought out the Book of Mormon and read the introduction about how "a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book." He was just like that was powerful. All I could think in my head was "dang right it is" lol. He accepted the Book of Mormon and said he would read, ponder, and pray about it. Dick wakes up at 4:30 and meditates and prays till about 7:00, so he said he would think about the Book of Mormon during that time. I know he will be able to receive a witness of its truth.
We also have an investigator named Jessica who came to church yesterday and sometimes I get nervous for the investigators to come to church, because our branch is quite unique and I want them to have a good experience. Well after church she texted us and said "thank you for inviting me to church, I'm definitely coming next week." So she felt welcomed and felt good about it which I couldn't be happier about it.
This week we have done a lot of tracting and I have been loving it outside! The days here are gorgeous. It's like 60-70 almost everyday this week! Also my companion and I wake up early and run every other day. I am so out of shape, but I ran a mile in 6:25... then I just fell over and died because I was so dang tired. I honestly do not enjoy running, but Elder Deka loves it and the extra exercise is probably good for me lol.
Well that's about it this week. I'm so thankful and blessed to be here on my mission and this gospel is so essential for everyone. I'm so happy serving the Lord and finding his children. There is no better calling!
