Hey everyone! So this week went pretty good! We picked up new investigators which is always awesome to increase our current teaching pool. We didn't have anything too significant happen this week, but I do want to give an update on some of our more solid investigators we have/had. So Mike is one of them. He was the one who had come to church twice and said he enjoyed it. Well we lost contact with him and this Saturday we got a call from him and he said he no longer was interested to meet with us. So, that was a jab to the heart, but as our mission President always says, "he is in the Lord's hands now." It was tough to have that happen because I really loved Mike and I know truly how important this is. The other investigator is Mike. He is still doing pretty good, but we haven't been able to see him that often, because he has some medical problems and is continually in and out of the hospital.
The last thing I want to talk about is the wonderful General Conference session we had! I have truly grown to appreciate hearing the general authorities speak and heeding their council. I know for a fact that they are each chosen of God to give their talks and they are meant for each and everyone of us to help guide and direct us in the world today. My favorite talk was probably either Elder Bednar or Rasband. They were both solid talks. I loved how Bednar said that we can believe generally, but we must believe specifically and individually. Before my mission I only believed generally, honestly. As I have served and applied the enabling power of Christ's atonement I have felt the change within myself. I love this gospel and it truly blesses my life and those around me as we allow the power of His word to take root within us and as we accept the truth of the restored gospel.
I love you all and hope you had a good week! Talk to you next Monday.
P.S. I don't have any pictures this week :(
