Hey everybody! So this week was pretty slow compared to last week, but it was still a great week. We didn't get to see Jania and her husband. When we stopped by no one was home. I was pretty bummed because I was super excited to see them! A lot of the investigators we have currently are kinda flaky and they don't keep their appointments very well, but hopefully we will be able to see them more.
One of the investigators we picked up was this guy named Michael. He came up to us and said he wanted to take us out to lunch, so we met him at lunch and talked a lot about the characteristics of God. It was a pretty deep lesson and Michael knew his stuff. He has a major in Religious History. One of the questions he asked us was "Did God have a father?", so it was pretty fun to talk to him and discuss things.
We also have this guy named Mike that we ran into on the street and at first we thought he was crazy, but we went over to his place and started to teach him the restoration and he was pretty normal and before we taught him he explained how the spirit communicates to him. He said it is like a warm peaceful feeling. We taught the restoration and when we got to the first vision I quoted Joseph Smith's words and the spirit was so strong. After I quoted it Mike said "that gave me goosebumps" as he started to tear up. He instantly recognized that it was the spirit. It was such a good lesson. Can't wait to see him next week.
This week was pretty fun and I am glad to see the blessings of working hard and talking to everyone and helping them accept the gospel. I love you all and I hope you all had a great week. Talk to you next Monday!
