Elder Ounesavath's last day in the mission
Hey everybody! So this week started off really slow and pretty tough honestly. A lot of our investigators that we picked up kinda fell through. It just seems like every time we stop by they are not home or are busy or something. I know that it is just part of missionary work and that we go through this to find the elect and when we do it is all worth it! We weren't able to see Chris this week, but hopefully we can see him this coming week. We didn't see Danny this week too, but we are going to make sure we try by him also.
We had a lot of blessings though that happened this week. One of them was that Mike came to church again! We went over there this week and we talked about church and what he thought about it. He said that he loved it and wants to continue to come. He said that he could just feel peaceful and he really liked that no one in our church gets paid and that it is all service. He really admired that! We also were able to pick up this one guy named Cameron who the Elders in this area used to teach, but he stopped being interested at that time. We stopped by though with a member and saw him and taught part of the restoration and really focused on the Book of Mormon and when we invited him to be baptized he just asked "what do I have to do?" It was pretty sweet! We set him with a date of Oct. 15th. I love being able to share the gospel with the people here.
This week I also got to go on exchange again and I worked with Elder Brunson in Johnson City. It was such a fun time being able to work with him and share the gospel in that area. It is pretty fun to be able to switch companions for a day and see new ways to teach. I'll put some pictures of him and I after.
Even though this week was pretty tough, Elder Baum and I continued to work and stay obedient and we continued to see blessings come. I love being able to work hard and just watch the Lord change people or put people in our path. It has built my testimony that when you are doing what is right that puts you in a position to be blessed. I love you all and hope you had a good week. Talk to you next week!
